Bulwer's Pheasant

Lophura bulweri

Bulwer's Pheasant (Lophura bulweri) is a striking bird species found in the montane forests of Borneo. The male is known for its vibrant plumage, with iridescent blue and green colors on its head and neck, while the female has more subdued brown plumage. These pheasants are known for their distinctive calls and are often found foraging on the forest floor for seeds, fruits, and insects. Due to habitat loss and hunting, the population of Bulwer's Pheasant is declining, and conservation efforts are crucial to ensure the survival of this species.
