Buru Green Pigeon, Treron aromaticus, is a pigeon of the forests of Buru in the western Moluccas of Indonesia. It belongs to the Columbiformes and the pigeon and dove family. Many authorities separate it from the pompadour green pigeon complex. It was described by Gmelin in 1789. The species is now placed in Treron, after first being assigned to Columba. It is monotypic, with no recognised subspecies. It usually appears alone or in small groups, flies fast and directly, feeds on seeds and fruit, and nests in a tree with a stick structure that holds two white eggs.
