Buru Jungle Flycatcher

Eumyias additus (Hartert, EJO, 1900)

Buru Jungle Flycatcher, Eumyias additus, is a passerine in the Muscicapidae family and breeds in montane Buru in the western Moluccas of Australasia. It was described by Hartert, EJO, in 1900. The bird is confined to Buru, where it was first found in tropical forest at 500 to 1,500 metres above sea level. It was once placed in Rhinomyias, but a 2010 molecular study led to its transfer to Eumyias after that genus was shown to contain unrelated lineages.
