Cackling Goose, Branta hutchinsii, is a goose in the Anatidae family and the order Anseriformes. It breeds across the Palearctic and in North America, from north-eastern Russia to northern Canada. The species was once treated as part of the Canada Goose, but it is now recognised separately. Its range also includes East Asia, and birds have occurred as vagrants in western Europe, around Kamchatka, in eastern China and in Japan.
