Caica Parrot, Pyrilia caica, is a bird of the Psittacidae family in South America, breeding in eastern Venezuela, the Guianas and north-eastern Brazil. It was described by Latham in 1790. It is found from eastern Venezuela through French Guiana, Guyana and Suriname into Brazil, and is tied almost entirely to mature terra firme forest. It is a monotypic species. Its range reaches from lowland forest up to 1,100 m, and it is generally absent from flooded and secondary woodland.
