Leucocarbo onslowi

The Campbell shag, scientifically known as Leucocarbo onslowi, is a species of cormorant endemic to the Campbell Island group in New Zealand. These birds are medium-sized, with a distinctive black and white plumage and a long, slender bill. They are skilled divers, feeding on a variety of fish and marine invertebrates. The Campbell shag nests in colonies on coastal cliffs and rocky shores, often in close proximity to other seabird species. Due to their restricted range and vulnerability to introduced predators, the conservation status of the Campbell shag is classified as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
