Cape Canary, Serinus canicollis, is a finch found in southern Africa. It is a resident breeder there, and it also makes seasonal and height-related movements within its range. It lives in fynbos, grassland and gardens, especially in upland places, and also occurs from forest edges to montane areas. It is known for its lack of black facial markings, which separates it from the yellow-fronted canary. It is a common seed-eater and may gather in large flocks outside the breeding season.
