Cape Verde Buzzard, Buteo bannermani, is a bird of prey in the family Accipitridae that breeds on Santo Antão and Santiago in Cape Verde. It was described by Swann in 1919. It is sometimes treated as part of the common buzzard, but it is also recognised as a separate species. Its range was once broader across the Cape Verde Islands and nearby parts of Macaronesia, west of northern Africa.
