Cape White-eye, Zosterops virens, is a passerine of the white-eye family found in southern Africa. It occurs in South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini and a small part of Mozambique, and is also common in suburbs, parks and gardens, as well as in wooded places with moderate to good moisture. It is a sociable bird that gathers in large flocks outside the breeding season. The species has a clear white eye-ring, and the two named forms differ in the colour of the breast and belly. Its breeding range is in Africa.
