Capped Conebill, Conirostrum albifrons, is a bird of the Thraupidae family that breeds in South America from Venezuela to Bolivia. It lives in tropical montane cloud forest, and also occurs in heavily altered former woodland. Its range runs through the Andes, with a separate population in Venezuela. The species was described by Lafresnaye in 1842. It is placed in Conirostrum with the other conebills, and the name refers to a cone-shaped bill. Six subspecies are recognised across its range.
