Perissocephalus tricolor (Müller, PLS, 1776)

Capuchinbird, Perissocephalus tricolor, is a passerine of the Cotingidae family that breeds in ne Amazonia in South America. It lives in humid forest, mainly below 600 m but reaching 1,400 m. The bird is the only member of its genus and is notable for its bare head, which is covered in dull blue skin. Adults are large and thick-set, with a heavy bill, rich brown plumage, black wings and tail, and a belly and undertail area that are more orange in tone.
