Carmiol's Vireo

Vireo carmioli

Carmiol's Vireo is a small songbird found in the highlands of Costa Rica and western Panama. It is known for its olive-green upperparts, whitish underparts, and distinctive yellow spectacles around the eyes. This species is often found in mixed-species flocks foraging for insects in the canopy of montane forests. Carmiol's Vireo is known for its melodious and repetitive song, which contributes to the lively atmosphere of its habitat. While its population size is not well-documented, its restricted range and potential threats from habitat loss warrant conservation attention.
