Cassia Crossbill, Loxia sinesciuris, is a finch found in the South Hills and Albion Mountains of Idaho in north-west USA. It belongs to the family Fringillidae and was described by Benkman in 2009. It is restricted to this part of North America and is linked to lodgepole pine cones in the region. Its bill is specialised for reaching the seeds inside those cones, and it is not well suited to cones from nearby areas. It was later accepted as a separate species in 2017.
