Cauca Guan

Cauca Guan, Penelope perspicax, is a bird of humid forests in western Colombia, within the Cracidae family. It is found in the Cauca River valley and in nearby forested areas of the western Andes, where it lives in trees and shrubs. Its plumage is marked by dark grey on the head, neck and mantle, with reddish chestnut on the rump, wing coverts and upper tail. The bird also shows a bright red gular sac, red legs and feet, red eyes, and a dark grey bill. It was first described in 1911 by Bangs.
