Cave Swallow, Petrochelidon fulva, is a swallow of North America, Middle America, the Caribbean and Mexico. It breeds in south-eastern New Mexico, Texas and Florida, as well as in the Greater Antilles and parts of southern Mexico. It is also recorded from the west coast of South America. The bird is closely related to the cliff swallow and is placed in the same genus. Its main nesting and roosting sites are caves and sinkholes. Five subspecies are recognised, with three in North America and two in South America.
