Cyanocorax cayanus (Linnaeus, 1766)
Cayenne Jay, Cyanocorax cayanus, is a bird of the Corvidae family in South America, with its breeding range in north Amazonia. It occurs in Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname and Venezuela. Its habitats include moist lowland forest, dry shrubland and heavily altered former forest. First described by Linnaeus in 1766, it is now placed in Cyanocorax. No subspecies are recognised.
