Cebu Flowerpecker

Copsychus cebuensis

The Cebu Flowerpecker (Copsychus cebuensis) is a small passerine bird endemic to the island of Cebu in the Philippines. It is known for its distinctive bright plumage and small size, reaching an average length of 10-12 centimeters. The species primarily feeds on nectar, fruit, and insects, and is often found in forested areas, including both primary and secondary growth. Due to habitat loss and fragmentation, the Cebu Flowerpecker is considered critically endangered, with only a small population remaining in the wild.
