The Chapada Flycatcher is a small, insect-eating bird found in the Chapada Diamantina region of Brazil. It is known for its distinctive olive-green plumage, with a yellowish belly and a rufous crown. This species is often observed perching on exposed branches or wires, sallying out to catch flying insects. Its melodious song can be heard in the early morning and late afternoon. The Chapada Flycatcher is highly adapted to the rocky and semi-arid landscapes of its habitat, where it nests in crevices and rocky outcrops. Although not much is known about its population trends, it is believed to be relatively stable within its restricted range.
