Chaplin's Barbet, Lybius chaplini, is a bird of Zambia in the African barbet family. It occurs in south-central Zambia, where it is confined to the stretch from the Upper Kafue River to Kabanga in Kalomo District. Its home is moist savanna and cultivated land. The bird was named for Sir Francis Drummond Percy Chaplin, a former colonial governor, and it is recognised as Zambia’s only true endemic bird. It was described by Clarke, S, 1920.
