Cherry-throated Tanager, Nemosia rourei, is a passerine of the Thraupidae family that breeds in south-east Brazil, where it is tied to the Atlantic Forest in Espírito Santo. It was first described by Cabanis in 1870. The bird is notable for its red throat patch, which narrows towards the breast, set against grey, black and white plumage. Its face is marked by black, with yellow or dark amber eyes. It was not confirmed for over a century after the original specimen, then found again in 1998.
