Chestnut-bellied Rock Thrush

The Chestnut-bellied Rock Thrush is a small passerine bird found in rocky habitats across parts of Asia. This species is known for its striking plumage, with the male sporting a vibrant blue upperparts and a rich chestnut belly, while the female has a more subdued brown and buff coloration. These birds are typically found perched on rocks or cliffs, where they hunt for insects and small invertebrates. During the breeding season, the male performs a melodious song to attract a mate. The Chestnut-bellied Rock Thrush is a migratory species, spending the winter in southern Asia. Despite facing some threats from habitat loss, their population is currently stable.
