These birds are typically found perched on rocks or cliffs, where they hunt for insects and small invertebrates. During the breeding season, the male performs a melodious song to attract a mate. The Chestnut-bellied Rock Thrush is a migratory species, spending the winter in southern Asia. Despite facing some threats from habitat loss, their population is currently stable.
