Chestnut-breasted Malkoha

The Chestnut-breasted Malkoha, also known as the Red-faced Malkoha, is a medium-sized bird found in the forests and woodlands of Southeast Asia. It is recognized by its striking chestnut breast, greenish upperparts, and distinctive red facial skin. This species is known for its loud and varied calls, often heard during the breeding season. Chestnut-breasted Malkohas primarily feed on insects, small vertebrates, and fruits, and they are known for their agile and acrobatic foraging behavior. Despite facing habitat loss and fragmentation, they are still relatively common in their range and are not currently considered threatened.
