Chestnut-breasted Quail-thrush, Cinclosoma castaneothorax, is a passerine in the Cinclosomatidae family that breeds in western Queensland to north-central New South Wales in eastern Australia. It was described by Gould in 1849. It is found in semi-arid country with sparse woody shrubs, herbaceous growth and hummock grasses. The bird nests on the ground in a shallow hollow, usually with two eggs, and the nest is made from mulga leaves and hop-bush bark. Male and female birds differ in plumage.
