Chestnut-capped Brushfinch

The Chestnut-capped Brushfinch is a small, secretive bird found in the highland forests of Colombia and Venezuela. It is characterized by its olive-green plumage, chestnut crown, and white throat. This species is often found foraging on the forest floor for insects and seeds. It prefers dense undergrowth and thickets in cloud forests and montane forests. The Chestnut-capped Brushfinch is considered to be of Least Concern by the IUCN, as it has a relatively large range and stable population.
