Chestnut-crowned Gnateater

It prefers dense, humid forests with thick undergrowth, and is often heard before it is seen due to its loud, distinctive calls. The Chestnut-crowned Gnateater is considered to be of least concern by the IUCN, but its population is declining due to habitat loss and fragmentation.
