Chestnut-headed Tanager, Thlypopsis pyrrhocoma, is a tanager in the family Thraupidae and breeds in eastern Paraguay, north-east Argentina and south Brazil. It is a bird of the Atlantic Forest in south-east Brazil, eastern Paraguay and far north-east Argentina. The species was described by Burns, KJ, Unitt & Mason, NA, 2016. It was once placed in Pyrrhocoma, but is now included in Thlypopsis. It is monotypic, with no subspecies recognised.
