Eulabeornis castaneoventris (Gould, 1844)

Chestnut Rail, Eulabeornis castaneoventris, is a bird of the Aru Islands and northern Australia, where it lives in subtropical or tropical mangrove forests. It was once the only species placed in the genus Eulabeornis. Its nests are platform-like structures, built in mangrove trees from mainly mangrove sticks, with some leaves and seedlings added. These nests measure 35–50 cm across and 5–10 cm deep. A brood contains 2–4 eggs.
