Chestnut-rumped Babbler, Stachyris maculata, is a passerine in the family Timaliidae, the babblers and scimitar babblers. It occurs in the Oriental Region, breeding on the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and its satellites, and Borneo. It was described by Temminck in 1836.
