Chiguanco Thrush, Turdus chiguanco, is a thrush of South America, breeding from southern Ecuador to western Argentina. It belongs to the family Turdidae and was first described by d'Orbigny and Lafresnaye in 1837. The species occupies a broad but broken range across the Andes and nearby regions. It lives in dry, open country, including farmland with scattered trees, gardens, scrubby woodland, thickets, montane scrub, and Polylepis woodland, and it is often near watercourses or irrigated ground. In Ecuador it breeds mainly between 1,500 and 3,200 m.
