Pterorhinus lanceolatus Verreaux, J, 1871
Chinese Babax, Pterorhinus lanceolatus, is a bird of the Leiothrichidae family found across the Himalayas to south-east China in the Oriental Region. It also occurs in China, Hong Kong, India and Myanmar. Its habitat includes subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. The species was first described by Verreaux, J, in 1871. It was once placed in Babax, but a 2018 molecular study led to its transfer to Pterorhinus.
