Chinese Beautiful Rosefinch

Carpodacus davidianus Milne-Edwards, 1865

Chinese Beautiful Rosefinch, Carpodacus davidianus, is a finch in the family Fringillidae and breeds in the eastern Palearctic, in the mountains of eastern China and central Mongolia. It uses montane forest edges and dry slopes, with breeding records from Inner Mongolia, southeastern Nei Mongol, northern Shanxi, Hebei and Beijing. Outside the breeding season it moves to lower elevations. Milne-Edwards described it in 1865.
