Phylloscopus yunnanensis

The Chinese Leaf Warbler (Phylloscopus yunnanensis) is a small, insectivorous bird found in the mountainous regions of southwestern China and northern Vietnam. It is characterized by its olive-green upperparts, yellowish underparts, and a distinct white supercilium. This species is known for its distinctive high-pitched song, often heard in the dense undergrowth of its forest habitat. Chinese Leaf Warblers are highly active and agile, frequently foraging for insects in the canopy and mid-level foliage. They are known to undertake seasonal migrations, moving to lower elevations during the winter months. The conservation status of the Chinese Leaf Warbler is currently classified as Least Concern by the IUCN.
