Chinese Nuthatch, Sitta villosa, is a nuthatch of the Palearctic, breeding in eastern parts of the region. It occurs from central China through the north-east of the country, reaching Korea and the far south-east of Russia. The species was described by Verreaux, J, 1865. It is a member of the family Sittidae and the order Passeriformes. A notable feature is the strong difference between the sexes: adult males have a very dark crown, while females match the blue-grey back or become darker grey when worn.
