Fringillidae — Finches, Euphonias
Chinese White-browed Rosefinch, Carpodacus dubius, is a finch of the Palearctic, breeding in the eastern Tibetan Plateau and nearby parts of China, with its range extending into south-eastern Tibet, Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia, far northern Arunachal Pradesh and northern Yunnan. It was described by Przevalski in 1876. In the breeding season it uses open alpine forest, clearings and meadows, and it makes some altitudinal movements outside that period. It is a member of Fringillidae and was once treated as part of the Himalayan white-browed rosefinch before being recognised as a separate species.
