Chirinda Apalis

Apalis chirindensis

The Chirinda Apalis is a small, insectivorous bird found in the montane forests of eastern Zimbabwe. It has a distinctive olive-green upperparts, yellow underparts, and a white eye-ring. This species is known for its melodious and repetitive song, often heard in the dense undergrowth of its habitat. The Chirinda Apalis forages for insects and spiders in the foliage and lower branches of trees, using its slender bill to glean prey. It is a sedentary species, rarely venturing far from its preferred montane forest habitat.
