Choco Elaenia

Choco Elaenia, Myiopagis parambae, is a passerine of the tyrant flycatcher family that occurs from eastern Panama to north-west Ecuador. It was described by Hellmayr in 1904. In the Chocó region it is present through western Colombia and into north-west Ecuador, while another form is found in central and eastern Panama. It lives in forest canopy and along forest margins in dry to moist woodland. The species is placed in the genus Myiopagis and is treated as having two subspecies.
