Choco Tyrannulet, Zimmerius albigularis, is a passerine of the tyrant flycatcher family found in western Ecuador and south-western Colombia. It is a bird of the Chocó region, where it lives in humid lower montane forest, secondary woodland, coffee plantations and gardens. Its range runs from Colombia’s Cauca Department south along the western Andes into Ecuador, reaching Santa Elena and Guayas. The sexes look alike. Adults show a mottled yellow forehead, a yellow eyebrow, a dark line through the eye, and a small black bill.
