Cholo Inca Finch

Chamaetylas choloensis

The Cholo Inca Finch is a small passerine bird native to the Andes of South America. It is known for its distinctive black and white plumage, with a black head and white throat. These finches are often found in high-altitude grasslands and shrublands, where they forage for seeds and insects. They are social birds, often seen in small flocks, and their melodious songs can be heard throughout their range. The Cholo Inca Finch is not currently considered to be at risk, but habitat loss and fragmentation are potential threats to its population.
