Puffinus nativitatis

The Christmas Shearwater, scientifically known as Puffinus nativitatis, is a medium-sized seabird that belongs to the Procellariidae family. This species is primarily found in the Pacific Ocean, particularly around the Hawaiian Islands and the northwestern coast of Mexico. Christmas Shearwaters are known for their graceful flight and their habit of skimming the ocean's surface while foraging for small fish and squid. They have a distinctive dark cap and white underparts, with a wingspan of approximately 90-100 cm. These seabirds nest in burrows on remote islands and atolls, often in large colonies.
