Cinereous-breasted Spinetail, Synallaxis hypospodia, is a passerine of the Furnariidae that breeds in south Amazonia and eastern Brazil. It is a resident bird of open country, especially seasonally wet grassland, scrub, campina and savannah, and it often uses places close to water. The species has a broken range, with one part in western Amazonia and another in northeastern Brazil extending into south-eastern Bolivia and north-eastern Paraguay. It was once placed with Spix's Spinetail, but is now treated as a separate, monotypic species.
