Cinereous Bulbul, Hemixos cinereus, is a passerine in the bulbul family that breeds in the Oriental Region, on the montane Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Borneo. It was first described by Blyth in 1845. The species was once placed in Iole, and it was also treated as the same species as the ashy bulbul. Two subspecies are recognised: the nominate form on the Malay Peninsula and Sumatra, and H. c. connectens in northern Borneo.
