Cinnamon-bellied Saltator, Saltator grandis, is a passerine in the tanager family, found in Middle America from Mexico to Costa Rica. It was described by Deppe in 1830. It is also known as the northern grey saltator. In El Salvador, it is called dichosofui because of the elaborate form of its call, which is heard as a drawn-out ¡dichoso fui!, meaning “I was happy!” The IOC recognised it as a separate species in 2021, after it had previously been treated as part of the greyish saltator.
