Cinnamon-breasted Bunting, Emberiza tahapisi, breeds across rocky hillsides in Africa from Gabon east to north-east Somalia and Socotra, and through the south-western and south-central Arabian Peninsula to South Africa. It is a bunting in the family Emberizidae, first described by A. Smith in 1836. It is found on lightly wooded slopes with sparse cover and open ground, and it also occurs in woodland at times. It is identified by a striped head and cinnamon-brown underparts, with males showing black and white head stripes and a black throat patch.
