Synallaxis cinnamomea
The Cinnamon Spinetail is a small, secretive bird found in the dense undergrowth of humid forests and woodlands in South America. It has a distinctive cinnamon-brown plumage with a rufous tail and a buffy throat. This species is known for its rapid and skulking behavior, often remaining hidden within the vegetation. It forages for insects and small invertebrates on or near the ground. The Cinnamon Spinetail builds a dome-shaped nest from plant materials, typically placed low in dense vegetation. Although it is not currently considered globally threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation are potential threats to its populations.
