Drepanoptila holosericea (Temminck, 1809)

Cloven-feathered Dove, Drepanoptila holosericea, is a bird of New Caledonia, including forest on the main island and nearby Île des Pins, where it occurs in moist woodland and Melaleuca savanna up to 1,000 m. It is notable for the notched tips to its primary feathers, which give the bird its English name. It is also the only species in its genus. The species is found in primary and secondary forest, with a preference for humid forest between 400 and 600 m, especially along edges.
