Coastal Cisticola, Cisticola haematocephalus, is a passerine in the Cisticolidae family, breeding along the coast of Somalia, Kenya and Tanzania. It was described by Cabanis in 1868. It is a monotypic bird of the East African coastal plain, with its range extending from southern Somalia to north-eastern Tanzania. Its natural home is tropical lowland grassland that is seasonally wet or flooded, together with swamps. It is also known as the umbabird, and the Mombasa black-backed cisticola.
