Brotogeris cyanoptera
The Cobalt-winged parakeet (Brotogeris cyanoptera) is a charming small parrot native to South America. These social birds are known for their striking cobalt-blue wing feathers, which contrast beautifully with their vibrant green body. They are highly vocal and often seen in flocks, emitting high-pitched calls as they forage and communicate with one another. Cobalt-winged parakeets primarily inhabit tropical lowland forests and forest edges, where they feed on fruits, seeds, and flowers. Their conservation status is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN, as they have a wide distribution and are not facing major threats at present.
