Cocoa Thrush, Turdus fumigatus, is a thrush of South America, including the Lesser Antilles and Amazonia. It was first described by Lichtenstein in 1823 and belongs to the family Turdidae. It is a year-round resident in Trinidad, St. Vincent, Grenada, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname and Venezuela. The species is split into five subspecies. It is found in a wide range of habitats, from humid forest edges and clearings to gallery forest, plantations, gardens and other tree-filled open country.
