Collared Lark

Collared Lark, Amirafra collaris, is a lark in the family Alaudidae that breeds in eastern Africa, from eastern Ethiopia and Somalia to central Kenya. It was described by Sharpe in 1896. Its natural home is subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland. The species was once placed in Mirafra, but is now included in Amirafra. It is one of three birds transferred to that revived genus after a 2023 molecular study. No subspecies are recognised.
