Collared Lory, Vini solitaria, is a parrot of Fiji in the family Psittaculidae, breeding on the larger islands and on parts of the Lau Islands, with records from urban Suva as well as moist lowland forest. It is notable for having adapted to human settlements, unlike other Fijian rainforest birds. Adults are about 20 cm long. The plumage is marked by bright red underparts and face, a purple crown, and greenish upperparts, while females are similar but show a paler crown. It was described by Suckow in 1800.
